Our students, families, and staff had a wonderful time celebrating our planet and learning about ways to protect it at our Earth Day Community Event last Friday! Our students learned about composting, water conservation, farming, and more, and had fun while doing so through participation in games, trivia, arts & crafts, and informational booths. Congratulations to our Earth Day Trivia Contest Winners- Evan S and Grace L!
Thank you to our incredible Network of parents for all of their time and hard work organizing this event for our community! In addition, thank you to following organizations and individuals for their support and contributions to the success of this event: SMARTS Farms, Boys Scouts of America, Water Conservation, Food2Soil, Friends of Farming/SD Farm Bureau, Home Depot, Cassandra Ablola, Emily Dearborn, Jen Gaston, Jen Jeffress, the middle school ASB, UDA 3rd graders & teachers, Ms. Jelena, Ms. Nordquist, Mr. Bernard, IDEATE students, Jasmine H, Tony Romano, Grace Levine, and all of our volunteers.
The total proceeds raised from this event will be shared soon! The generosity of our families and local partners is not only what enables us to come together as a community in support of a great school, but also what stabilizes the foundation of rich programming at UDA/IDEATE.
