Cathy Aten

Cathy is a member of the 4th/5th grade teaching team. Prior to becoming a teacher Cathy first served and retired as a Navy Chief Electronics Technician and then as a financial analyst for Xerox Corporation. She couldn't stay idle so she went back to school and received her teaching credential and Masters of Education from National University. As the daughter of a librarian she is particularly passionate about literacy and the world that it opens up for students. She is also a reader, computer geek, gardener, activist, parent of two grown sons, and partner.
