Tappen, Matthew

Mr. T. is a San Diego Native. He grew up in the North Park community and continues to serve his community as a Little League baseball coach. Mr. T graduated from Point Loma High School and earned a degree in Anthropology with a minor in American Indian Studies from San Diego State University. He began his professional career in sales and did that for nearly 5 years. Mr. T began pursuing his career as an educator after serving as a substitute teacher in various San Diego county schools. Mr. T fell in love with what he was doing and decided to continue his education and earn a Master's degree in Education along with his teaching credential from Alliant International University. There, he excelled in his coursework and graduated with a 4.0. Mr. T is entering his 2nd year at UDA as a 3rd-grade teacher. He really enjoys coaching his sons, traveling, trying new food and spending time with his family exploring the beautiful city of San Diego.
