Elijah Albreksten

Mr. A is our high school mathematics teacher. Growing up, Mr. A attended charter schools all the way from kindergarten through senior year of high school. He is very familiar with how charter schools work and operate and is excited to continue his teaching journey at a charter school. After high school he attended Cuyamaca Community College where he was able to continue his passion of playing basketball and learning mathematics. He transferred out of Cuyamaca after two years into San Diego State University where he continued to learn more about mathematics and explore his passion for teaching. He graduated with his bachelor's degree in mathematics, but continued attending SDSU to complete his teaching credential. During the last year, he was able to student teach at Health Sciences High and Middle College as well as the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. At these schools is where he was able to gain much experience and knowledge about the responsibilities and duties of a high school mathematics teacher, learning from very experienced educators. Now he is excited and eager to begin his teaching journey and fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a math teacher.
