Ms. Jazzmyne Valle

Ms. Jazz is the Urban Discovery High School English teacher. She was born and raised in San Diego and earned her associate’s degree for English for Transfer at City College. She then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she received her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Ms. Jazz takes a student-centered approach to learning where students partake in multiple activities and are given opportunities to create their own learning experiences based on their own interests at a pace they are comfortable with. Ms. Jazz is excited to be back in San Diego and working for Urban Discovery where she can share her love for learning and literature with the community she grew up in. Outside of work you might find Ms. Jazz at a hiking trail, the roller rink, meditating under a tree, or whatever restaurant is trending on IG.
