Meet Ms. Nikia, our front office clerk! Ms. Nikia is one of the first faces students and parents see when they walk through our front doors. She receives messages, tracks attendance, and helps students navigate the school if they have any questions - she is often the go-to person for many of our students. This is her 5th year on the UDA team!
As an alumni parent, what drew her to UDA was the proximity of where she used to work but also seeing all the love and attention that is given to students. Her daughter enrolled at UDA in 5th grade and had a great experience here! Ms. Nikia even knows the names of all the students, the cars that come in and out, and has a good relationship with the families. As part of the staff team, she loves the kiddos and how closely she interacts with them in her role! Every student has different personalities and she helps bridge communication with teachers if she notices something when students arrive in the mornings.
For the ‘26-’27 school year, Ms. Nikia’s goal is to improve attendance and have students be on-time and ready to learn. She also wants to help with the transitions and support students in their education by activating their brains and helping them be ready to engage!
Born and raised in San Diego, CA, one of Ms. Nikia’s favorite things to do is try new restaurants and cuisines! Fun fact: Ms. Nikia has 1 niece and 3 nephews that attend UDA!
