Mr. Cervantes

Julian Cervantes is a San Diego native and proud bilingual educator who speaks both English and Spanish. He graduated with honors from San Diego State University in 2023 and has been teaching at Urban Discovery Academy ever since. Inspired by his late father, who spent his career mentoring young people, Julian chose education as a way to give back to his community. He believes the best learning happens when students feel welcomed, supported, and excited to participate. He enjoys getting to know his students and building strong relationships with their families throughout the school year. When he’s not at school, Julian enjoys traveling, staying active, spending time in nature, and cheering on the Padres and Chargers.
