Our Story

Urban Discovery Academy (UDA) is a free public charter school in the heart of San Diego's downtown I.D.E.A. District. Founded in 2008, UDA serves students in TK-8th grades. Urban Discovery Academy bridges curiosity with community; our model of innovation and collaboration empowers educators and students to move away from traditional approaches and lead with a transformative model of education. Students experience a robust enrichment program which allows students to experience a more personalized and innovated curriculum. Our mission is to develop students who actively and passionately contribute toward a better tomorrow for all of us.
