Our Story

Urban Discovery Academy (UDA) is a free public school located in the heart of downtown San Diego serving students in universal transitional kindergarten through 8th grade. UDA empowers students to explore beyond the classroom, engage with their community, and make a difference in the world.  From our youngest learners to college-bound students, UDA offers a fully integrated continuum of education where students can complete their entire K-8 education in one place, with interdisciplinary design challenges that help solve real-world problems and comprehensive enrichment programming for all ages.
