ABOUT US

Urban Discovery Academy (UDA) is a free public school located in the heart of downtown San Diego where students can complete their entire education - from universal transitional kindergarten through 8th grade - at one site.

UDA empowers students to explore beyond the classroom, engage with their community, and make a difference in the world. From our youngest learners to college-bound students, UDA offers a fully integrated continuum of education with interdisciplinary design challenges that help solve real-world problems and comprehensive enrichment programming for all ages.

AGE CRITERIA

Students who are applying for Transitional Kindergarten must be at least 4 years old by September 1 of that school year (birthdays between start of school and September 1 will be 3 years of age upon enrollment). Students who are applying for Kindergarten must be at least 5 years old on or before September 1 of the school year. We do not make exceptions to this rule.
