Steve Slatten
Steven Slatten was born and raised in San Francisco, California, but moved to New York City for seven years while working in the performing arts. Mr. Slatten decided to move into the world of Special Education after seeing a documentary on how to use Music to help students on the Autism Spectrum. He attended New Jersey City University where he earned his B.A with a double major in English Literature and Special Education. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and was honored as the Valedictorian for his contributions to the English Department. He earned a Master’s Degree in Autism Studies from the University of Texas. He has worked in the field of Special Education for the last ten years and relocated to San Diego to be closer to his family in 2015. In his free time he continues to work in the area of theater, music, and entertainment. He is happily married and has two cats and a dog that he loves very much.
